LOS ANGELES, Sept. 29 (Our California Times) — Dublin police arrested a married couple, both 77, on suspicion of murder after their son-in-law was fatally shot Saturday at a sports complex in the California city, police said.
Police identified the couple as Shouyong Zhang and Shili Chen, both of Dublin, and the man killed as Jonathan McKinsey, 40. A police sergeant driving nearby saw McKinsey on the ground in the parking lot of Dublin Sports Grounds as witnesses called 911 and pointed out the couple, according to Dublin Police Services. McKinsey was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers detained Zhang and Chen nearby within minutes and booked them into Santa Rita Jail, police said. Authorities have not announced a motive or said whether prosecutors have filed charges. Police said the circumstances of the shooting remained under investigation and that there were no outstanding suspects or threat to the public.
