DETROIT, June 22 (Our Michigan Times) — Chevrolet has introduced the next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500, calling it the most powerful Silverado ever and saying the pickup is expected to go on sale later this year.

The company said the new truck will offer next-generation 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8 engines, along with an enhanced 2.7-liter TurboMax engine and a class-exclusive Duramax 3.0-liter turbo-diesel. Chevrolet said the lineup will continue to include four powertrain options.

Chevrolet said the 2027 Silverado 1500 also gets a redesigned digital cockpit. Every model will come with a 16.3-inch center display and a 12.2-inch driver information center, according to the company.

On ZR2 and High Country trims, Chevrolet said the truck adds an 11.5-inch front passenger screen, along with a head-up display and a rear camera mirror.

The company said the 2027 Silverado 1500 also offers seven available models: ZR2, High Country, Trail Boss, Silverado, Custom Trail Boss, Custom and WT. Pricing will be announced later this year, Chevrolet said.
