LAGUNA BEACH, Calif., June 27 (Laguna Beach Daily) — Laguna Beach’s annual July 4 fireworks show is expected to use about 300 pounds of explosive over a 20-minute period, according to a California regional water board filing that ties the display to Heisler Park.
The city says the show will originate from Monument Point at Heisler Park and begin at about 9 p.m. on July 4. City records list Fire Station 1 at 501 Forest Avenue.
The water board filing lists the city’s mailing address at 505 Forest Avenue and names Mark McAvoy, the city’s director of public works and utilities, as the contact for the event. State water board staff member James Chhor is listed on the notice.
