UNION, SOUTH CAROLINA, June 25 (Nationwide Times) — Three Wendy’s employees in Union, South Carolina, face food-tampering charges after police said a drive-thru customer’s meal was taken from the trash, spat on and served back at the North Duncan Bypass restaurant in a late-May incident.

Union police said the customer complained about her first order and was offered a remake. Officers said the food was allegedly contaminated before it was handed back.

The employees charged were identified as Aaliyah Shuntai Sanders, Trinity Lashell Rice and Shadela Crystal Holley. The charge was tampering with a human drug product or food item.

The manager said the employees involved were written up.
